Nutella hot chocolate

I’m getting a bit too obsessed with hot chocolate can you tell ??

Woke up to a rainy and freezing morning and nothing better than hot chocolate to help keep me warm. My way to drink hot chocolate is dark with no marshmallows topped with cream and chocolate shavings πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ. Today i decided to make it a little bit different by adding some nutella, more chocolate is always a good idea agreed ?? πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ. Topped it with marshmallows and pieces of Ferrero Rocher.

Adding nutella to my hot chocolate was literally the best decision I’ve ever made. Smooth, silky with that fluffiness from the marshmallows and texture of the ferrero pieces this was one luscious hot chocolate. My recipe i will be sharing today is so simple to make and you will absolutely love it πŸ”₯.

Battered fillets or Pakistani chops

These battered fillets I made for last night’s dinner goes perfectly with this cold and gloomy weather. This is a family favourite especially in the holy month of Ramadan. It’s chicken fillet coated in a batter and fried till golden. I always wondered why it’s called Pakistani chops but there’s chops in the recipe πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ. This is one of the easiest recipes you can make, great for a quick lunch or supper. You can make them into mini burgers, served in pitas or plain with a salad on the side.

I served it plain with salad, sweet chilli sauce, red chutney and lemon wedges. I ate about fiveπŸ™Š nah I’m kidding I ate seven πŸ˜„

Nello’s Artisan Breads (Review)

I’m that girl who loves walking into bakeries early in the morning, grabbing some bread or croissants with tea and just enjoying the moment. It’s a feeling you cannot describe.

I recently heard a lot about Nello’s Artisan Breads and obviously I had to give them a visit. Walking into the bakery the mouth watering smell of freshly baked breads hit me and I knew I was in for some kind of an experience.

And guess what ?? They drive on keeping everything halaal, i even got to meet the owners Nelson and Roxanne Newel they are so helpful and friendly.

From baked goods such as sourdoughs, country loaves, pastries and a wide variety of breads to choose from, everything is made with a GMO flour that’s unbleached and use no pre – mix, preserves or additives. All are naturally baked breads and pastries.

I literally wanted to buy everything on the menu because they looked that good. I finally decided on foccaccia, cinnamon raisin buns, jam puff pastry and strawberry and custard puff pastry.

The foccaccia was soft, delicious and topped with sea salt and rosemary. This can be used as a pizza base or flatbread.

I love anything with cinnamon, these Copenhagen’s with custard, cinnamon and raisins drizzled with syrup and icing sealed the deal.

The strawberry pastries were something new for me and I’m not a lover of puff pastries, but this was absolutely devine! They were filled with a strawberry jam and topped with some custard. The pastry just melted in my mouth.

The jam pastry had just the right amount of jam and it hit all the right spots. No pastry in the world can match up to this pastry.

Some of the items on the menu :

Country loaf

Burger buns

Foccaccia

Strawberry pastries

Jam pastries

Normal bread

100 % Rye bread

Plain croissants

Rustic loaf

Kitka

Ciabatta

Everything at Nello’s Artisan Breads are made fresh with the finest ingredients. Make sure to pay them a visit soon. I will definitely be visiting again.
They are situated at 1 Colley Road Port Shepstone.

Tea Merchants (review)

I am a mad tea lover , from green tea to herbal tea i buy and drink any kind and every kind of tea I can find. I start of my mornings with a good cup of green tea or sometimes rooibos tea.

Recently i popped into the Tea Merchants store at the Gateway theatre of shopping, it was a cute little store filled with what I love the most TEA πŸ˜πŸ‘Œ with so many different types of tea, I just couldn’t decide which one to purchase. Luckily I was able to taste a few different kinds. I tasted the liquorice, english breakfast and the rooibos masala chai flavours. So I finally decided to go with the masala chai, I totally made the right decision 😏.

So heres my recipe for the Tea Merchants rooibos masala chaiπŸ‘‡

Ingredients :

Milk

1 cup water (must be kettle boiled)

1 tablespoon rooibos masala chai

1 rooibos tea bag (optional)

Method :

Add water, masala chai and teabag to a teapot or pot, bring to a boil till nicley strong. Add in milk as desired now strain and serve immediately.

* You have to drink all these teas black, one thing I hate is black tea. For me to add milk to my tea i add in one rooibos tea bag. If you drink black tea then don’t add in the tea bag.

I’m in love with the way the tea comes packaged in these gorgeous tins😍

To all you tea lovers out there make sure to checkout the Tea Merchants, they are one of a kind 😍

Essence Cafe 😍 ( review)

My friend and I decided to sit inside as it was a really cold morning, as we walked into Essence Cafe i just stopped and looked around πŸ‘€ the decor was insane, the whole wooden effect with these cute antique appliances, decor is everything to me by the way. We took a table near the fireplace, Oh Yaass! they have a fire place πŸ™Œ.

We ordered tea with an apple cinnamon cheesecake, chocolate volcano and ice cream. Presentation was on point πŸ‘Œ I loved the teapots 😍

The cheesecake was so devine πŸ˜› i was a bit disappointed with the way the cheesecake was served, it was more like a deconstructed cheesecake. I’m not a huge fan of chocolate volcano but it tasted really good with a dollop of ice cream.

Service was great and very friendly staff, this is one of the most cutest cafes and I will definitely be visiting here again πŸ€—
